Studio & Operations Manager

Skin-Matters is an independent, luxury skin studio dedicated to delivering exceptional results and an outstanding client experience. We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Studio Manager to work alongside the owner in leading the business.

This is a key leadership position for someone who enjoys taking ownership, driving performance and creating an environment where both clients and the team thrive.

You will oversee the day-to-day running of the studio, ensuring operations are efficient, the team is motivated and supported, and the business continues to grow.

Your role is to free the owner to focus on business development, innovation and strategic growth, knowing the studio is operating smoothly and successfully.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Financial Management

• Support the profitability of the business through effective commercial management.
• Monitor and understand Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.
• Analyse key performance indicators and identify opportunities for growth.

• Drive treatment, retail and membership sales.
• Maximise room occupancy and therapist productivity.
• Produce regular business reports for the owner.
• Assist with budgeting and achieving monthly revenue targets.

Studio Operations

• Oversee the daily operation of the studio, ensuring exceptional standards throughout.

• Manage front of house and reception operations.
• Ensure the client journey is seamless from enquiry through to aftercare.
• Maintain all operational procedures, policies and clinic standards.
• Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally.

Stock & Supplier Management

• Take responsibility for stock control and regular stock takes.

• Place orders with suppliers and monitor stock levels.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels while controlling costs.
• Ensure retail displays are fully stocked and presented to luxury standards.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, motivate and support the team to perform at their best.

• Deliver regular training, coaching and performance reviews.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
• Foster a positive, accountable and supportive working culture.
• Ensure team members consistently deliver exceptional client care.

Client Experience

• Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional service.

• Ensure every client receives a personalised, luxury experience.
• Handle client enquiries and complaints with empathy and professionalism.
• Encourage client retention, referrals and positive reviews.

Systems & Administration

• Manage the online booking system to maximise appointments and clinic efficiency.

• Monitor diaries to ensure optimum utilisation of treatment rooms.
• Prepare reports and communicate business performance to the owner.
• Oversee staff rotas, holiday requests and day-to-day scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with clinic procedures, health and safety, and GDPR.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous management experience within aesthetics, beauty, skincare, wellness or luxury hospitality.
• Strong understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) management and business performance.
• Experience with stock management, stock taking and supplier ordering.

• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Experience managing online booking systems and appointment scheduling.
• A proven ability to drive sales and maximise business opportunities.
• Experience increasing room occupancy and improving operational efficiency.
• Confidence training, mentoring and supporting a high-performing team.

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and pride in maintaining exceptional standards.
