Actual Salary: 11,820 - 14,168 per annum.
Hours: Part-time 22. 2 hours a week, term-time working over 42 weeks per year (will involve working some non- term periods).Working Days: Tuesday Thursday, 8: 30am 4: 30pm.
Location: 2 Positions available (1 at Newcastle and 1 at our Stafford site).

The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes.
We have over 1,500 apprentices where we work with over 850 individual employers. Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence.
We are looking for suitably qualified individuals to join our pro-active, dynamic and friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial hairdressing salon and its clientele.
Working with the manager and the team to develop the commercial aspects of the departments facilities, ensuring all students, clients and visitors are dealt with efficiently and service standards are met.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:Undertake assessments of hairdressing students & record outcomes.
Support the lecturer with training and supervision of students, services and clients
Ensure clients are up to date with required patch tests in accordance with legislationMaintain the commercial salon, products and equipment for clients and students.
To carry out appropriate stock control, rotation, orders and any salon related administration.
Cover reception duties as required.
Assist with open events and interview evenings as required.Organise promotional activities throughout the year and liaise with the manager and external companies for promotional events.
To assist in the promotion of product sales for Hair and Beauty retail area and liaise with person ordering the products.Be aware of and comply with all College procedures relating to health and safety.
Required Skills and Experience:
Has a Level 3 NVQ/VRQ Diploma in Hairdressing.
Can demonstrate excellent hairdressing skills.
Has proven experience in a salon based environment with a record of maintaining and growing a clientele.
Has a proactive approach in a commercial setting.
Has an assessor award or a willingness to achieve one within 6 months of taking up the post. Has excellent communication skills.Whats in it for you?
