We are seeking a Junior Formulation Chemist to join our innovative cosmetics R&D team. As a Junior Formulation Chemist, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues to develop new cosmetic products and technologies, with over 50 awards won and counting for the teams formulations.

Based in a modern and fully equipped laboratory, the company is very active within the beauty industry with a reputation for combining science and creativity and searching for a self-motivated and inquisitive Junior Formulation Chemist to join this outstanding team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with senior team members to conceptualize and design creative new formulations based on client briefs
• Preparing trial batches in our state-of-the-art laboratory to test new product ideas
• Researching cutting-edge technologies and ingredients to incorporate into advanced cosmetic formulations
• Developing a strong understanding of relevant cosmetic product regulations and legislation
• Organizing raw material data and maintaining meticulous formula records

Requirements

• A strong scientific education, ideally including a masters degree in chemistry or a related subject
• Great interest in cosmetic science and technology
• The ability to think creatively and problem-solve
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Enjoys working on a variety of tasks, both on their feet (in the lab) and at their desk (in the office).
